What this site is

Develop in Portugal is an information service about property development in Portugal. It publishes guides, process explanations and indicative calculators.

It is not a law firm, a valuer, a lender, an estate agent or a project manager, and it does not act for you.

Guidance is general, not advice

Nothing here is legal, tax, financial or planning advice for your project. Rules differ between municipalities and change over time, and every site has its own constraints.

Before committing money, obtain project-specific advice. The Legal section explains how to engage VVA for that.

Tool outputs

The calculators use indicative market ranges to test whether a project is plausible at an early stage. Outputs are estimates, not quotations, valuations or appraisals, and must not be used as the sole basis for a transaction or a funding decision.

The AI assistant

The assistant answers from this site's published content and can be wrong or out of date. Always check the linked source page, and never treat an answer as a substitute for advice on your project.

Acceptable use

You may read, print and share the content for your own project work.

• Do not scrape, republish or resell the content at scale
• Do not use the assistant to generate abusive, unlawful or misleading material
• Do not attempt to interfere with the service or bypass rate limits

Liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for loss arising from decisions taken on the basis of the content or the tool outputs.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction.
