Why trust us
Why you can rely on this guidance
This site is written for people who carry project risk, so it is worth being explicit about how the content is produced, who reviews it and what it deliberately does not do.
Last reviewed: 2026-08-20
Who writes and reviews it
The guidance is built with Valente Veiga & Associados (VVA), a Portuguese law firm that works on land acquisition, planning, development structuring and construction contracts.
Every page is written from real transaction practice: the questions that actually decide whether a project proceeds, and the mistakes that get repeated.
How the content is structured
Each phase, licensing stage and guide follows the same shape: the objective, the key decisions, the documents, the risks, indicative costs and timelines, and a checklist.
- No sponsored placements and no commission from agents, contractors or lenders.
- Figures are presented as ranges for screening, never as a valuation.
- Where a rule varies by municipality, we say so instead of averaging it away.
What this site is not
It is not legal, tax or planning advice on a specific site, and using the tools or the assistant does not create a lawyer-client relationship. When a project becomes real, the next step is a review of your documents.
Keeping it current
Pages carry a review date. When legislation, licensing procedure or market ranges change materially, the affected pages are revised rather than patched.
